This website is run by Richard Lambert, who has a wealth of experience in large and small scale theatre and touring both the UK and to international arenas.

Richard Lambert has had a dynamic career spanning theatre, entertainment, and technical management. He began as a professional ice skater with Disney’s Magic Kingdom on Ice (USA West Coast Tour, 1 year) before transitioning backstage. He spent seven years as a master electrician (lighting) on Walt Disney’s World on Ice (World Arena Tour), followed by roles at ETC, first as a Technical Support Engineer (Broadway market, NYC, 2 years) and later as Technical Services Manager for Europe (8 years). Richard then became Technical Director at MA Lighting UK (2 years).

In theatre management, Richard has served as Technical Director (Landor Theatre, Above the Stag), Technical Manager (Gate Theatre), and Theatre Manager (King’s Head Theatre). He has been actively involved in industry committees, including the EQUITY Directors and Designers Committee (Lighting) and the ALD Executive Committee (Corporate). Additionally, he has contributed as an OFFIE Assessor and Super-Assessor (Set, Video, and Sound).

As a producer with LAMBCO Productions, Richard has earned significant recognition. Playbill selected Boys in the Buff as their “Pick of the Fringe,” while The Scotsman named Tickle and Boys in the Buff among the Edinburgh Fringe’s four sexiest musicals. Under his leadership, LAMBCO established the Garden Theatre in Vauxhall, premiering musicals ahead of Broadway and the West End, including Fanny and Stella, Pippin, Next Thing You Know, Naked Boys Singing, and Frostbite. His contributions to theatre earned him a spot in The Stage newspaper’s Top 100 Theatre-Makers and the ONEOFF Special Award, as well as the title of OFFIE Producer of the Year (2022).

In 2024, LAMBCO launched the award-winning Stage Door Theatre, the first pub theatre in the West End, which received 11 OFFIE nominations, a ONEOFFIE Award, and a Special Commendation from London Pub Theatres.

Richard is the Managing Director of LAMBCO Lighting, LAMBCO Productions and the Fringe Theatre Awards.
